Sarah Palin's clothing + maintenace = $150,000 in 2 months

Joe Six Pack can relate to this, of course. "If Edwards had gotten one of his legendary haircuts every singe week, it would still take him 7.2 years to spend what Palin had. Palin, in the end, had received the equivalent of $2,500 in clothes per day."

Are Our Parents To Blame?

The question I find myself asking is...is our parents generation to blame for the current "crisis" we are experiencing? After all this is the generation that is currently in power this is the generation that ultimately re-elected "Still President Bush".

Several of my friends fall within this category, and a constant is that they are constantly apologizing for their mistakes. They ultimately (some do anyway) for the situation that we are currently experiencing.
Lewis Black once said, "My generation has failed you (meaning Gen Xers) we had one job to do and that was to legalize pot and we failed at even that task!"

Our generation has warned of this calamity for sometime we have been blogging about it and we have been expressing our concern. We have seen our college expenses rise, we have seen our quality of life diminish compared to our parents. We have seen ability to start a family and settle down be put on hold so that we can begin to make ends meet first.

Yet, when we disuses this issues with our parents they begin to explain to us how "Their late twenties were so much more difficult!" My step father had two Corvettes in his mid twenties, had a sales job making $40,000 per year in the early 70's, company car, health insurance, expense account, etc etc.

Well today we are LUCKLY to obtain a job making $40,000 which today that job would be close to $70,000! Let alone a company car, health insurance, and an expense account.
The only people I know who currently have a life style such as this is my friends in the Rx Industry, and I have a feeling their time is coming!

Well Let me know your thoughts!
